After tons of poking & prodding I've finally joined the Twitter world, my management team has taken over and made my official fan-sit (after adequate compensation to the original webmaster, of course), and I've posted up the first official blog on the website. Now all that's left to get up to date on the online world is this thing, and I might just be golden for a few weeks. Not too fond of that little tweety-bird just yet, but from what I hear everyone starts out with a 'I just had _______ for dinner' and 'Hanging out with _____ before working out' before going full-on nuts about that thing so I wouldn't worry too much about the activity on that thing. It won't surprise me if Twitter is the next 'out' thing now that I've gotten onto it. Aside from anything in the Xbox Live Arcade, my timing in joining onto the online crazes is pretty pitiful so just wait and watch me kill that bird with one stone.
Onto business! Whatta week it's been, last week I was just getting back from Orlando for the Impact tapings and hanging out and it was right off to the races. My youngest started football last week and I kid you not when I say he ran me rampant. I played at half back when I was younger and on the way through High School, but if I had the energy doing it that he seems to have then despite my size there might of been a career on that field than inside the squared circle. He did awesome in his first scrimmage. Sure at this level it's mostly the kids just running around having a good time in a game setting, but I've seen that look in his eye when watching back my matches. He loves what he's doing, and he knows he has a knack for it. Watch out future D-lines of the SEC, when Ajay Jones is wearin' that red & black Georgia Bulldog's jersey behind his O-Line he's gonna chop you boys to splinters after the ball is put in his hands. As if making it to every practice and working with him beforehand wasn't enough, keeping up with his younger brothers sure as heck was without a doubt. Can't have the oldest out there playing football with his friends without his younger brother trying to get out there, and trying to stop him from running out there gets to be just a tad bit difficult when I've gotta keep the youngest occupied. Luckily the coach is understanding and has let Avery get out there and have some fun with the rest of the boys while i tend to Albey.
Between that and occupying my highly entertaining company while she helps me look out houses. With the divorce finalized already I figured it was time to get out of the cramped apartment that I'd been staying in since my ex and I separated. It's not a bad place, it's served it's purpose over the past few months while everything was sorted out. Sure when the boys are with me a two-bedroom apartment gets a little cramped, but giving Avery and Ajay a room to themselves while I kept Albey in my room so he didn't wake the boys if he woke up in the middle of the evening. It's taken looking at far too many places in every direction from, Gainesville but today we finally found a nice place to put a bid in on. The boys love the place, there's plenty of room for them to each have a room of there own and I'll be able to keep an office/game room set-up and still have enough room to set them up with a sweet playroom. I took photos of each of the rooms so I can work on different ideas of what to do with their rooms in case we get the house. All three of the boys have their own personality so there's no way I can just let them all have similar rooms at all, they've each got to have something that works for them. It's weird though, in just a matter of months they're doing these insane 180 personality wise. It seems like it was just yesterday that Ajay was trying to take my championship belts to show & tell at day care and wearing my hooded vests every day and now he's gaga for the gridiron. Avery's always been a little more eclectic though. Pinning down one interest to pattern down his room to would normally be like pulling teeth from a t-rex (which just so happened to be one of his interests and what his other room with his momma is decorated after), but lately he's really been more into wrestling and GI Joe. Apparently we should know whether or not we've got the house early next week which just so happens to work out nicely as i'll just be getting back from the pay per view and set of tapings.
Work itself has taken a turn for the interesting lately. Can't say it's 'good' or 'bad' but 'interesting' fits recent situations. For some reason I've developed a bit of an 'ego' at least that's the word according to those oh so credible 'writers' that are backstage sitting in the corner of the locker room. It's no big deal, just crap being started. I've busted my but for TNA for the last 8-1/2 years and now because of egos, politics, and bad business advice things just seem in a tail-spin at times. Aside from that everything we're doing on-camera is great, I'm really enjoying it but when you're working with an icon that's taken you under his wing when he didn't have to and some of your closest friends what is there to complain about? It's just a shame when the rest of the crap goes and makes a mess of the good stuff that's going on out there. We're gearing up for our Superbowl, and once again I've got myself a high profile program going on that seems to be building a lot of steam with each passing week. I'll still be feeling this next match I've got coming up though, fan that watched wrestling back in the mid-late 90's know all about the toughness of the guy I'm wrestling. Working with Tommy Dreamer is a treat, but working with Tommy Dreamer in an anything-goes 'I quit' match is going to be a real doozy.
There's some good that will come from being back in Orlando though, I get to hang out with everyone again. Sure I've had Lauren here in Gainesville with me the last few days while lookin' at houses (since as most men who have been married know), you never make a big investment or purchase without a woman's input on it, (yeah, yeah I know. The ex-wife has me trained well according to my buddy Joe) but we've been busy as heck though. Going back to O-Town will give us a few days to relax and hang out a little more. The boys have kept us on the run, and we've been at their mercy and now we can have a little more adult time to attend to the adult matters. She knows that come September, 14th that she'll need to be on a head-set playing the new Halo installment to get my attention, otherwise she'll be talking to a brick wall. Plans for Orlando? Beach with all those wild TNA-ers and living it up before we all go to war and kick it into high-gear. At some point between now and Friday afternoon I'll have to get packed for the run, and now that the boys are asleep and Lauren has her headphones on seems like a pretty good time to do that. Until next time.
Stay phenomenal folks.
